31st October 2025, United Kingdom. The Shrinking has been employed nationwide for the third consecutive year. One day per year, the tables are turned and all men are shrunk down to miniscule size, and women are legally allowed to do what they want with them. Gender equality is at an all time high, and crime is at an all time low. With this one day as exception... A man and his girlfriend are hunkering down to spend Shrinking Day together at home. Hearing fearmongering on the radio, she switches it off and promises she's going to look after him. But the morning of his shrinking, the wake up to a phonecall from her workplace. A massive cyberattack by a group of criminal women means she has to go in to work unexpectedly to fix things, leaving her boyfriend alone and vulnerable.
